5. When your payment clears, our underwriter will send your bond documents directly to you via U.S. Mail.
6. This is the PC bond required for independent insurance agents/brokers by the CA Dept of Insurance. Your business entity name (if you're applying for that insurance license) must be approved by the Dept of Insurance before you apply for the bond.
7. If the Dept of Insurance requires you to request a name-correction rider on your bond it will cost you another $25.00 in processing fees (payable to James L. Young).
8. Once you have the original bond documents in hand, you will then send those documents to the CA Dept of Insurance with a $24.00 fee (check or money order), for the required bond registration. You cannot operate as an independent PC agent/broker or PC insurance business-entity in California without the PC Bond. (There is no bond requirement for Life/Accident and Health CA insurance license holders.)
9. We will continue to service your bond needs, follow up, notify you of your pending bond renewal, or other bond-related situations that might arise. Other than the bond rider and renewals we do not usually charge to help you with ongoing issues that may come up related to your bond.
10. Refunds. There are no refunds for surety bonds.
